Happy Birthday to Our Buddy Daniley!

This was a fun weekend, especially because Sarah Katherine got to go to her buddy Daniley's birthday party! We went to a park in Alabaster and got to enjoy hot dogs (yes - SK ate an entire hot dog by herself!), playing on the playground (the girls especially enjoyed the slide), and splashing in some awesome puddles from the mid-party shower (no worries - we were safe and sound under the pavillion). Here are a few pictures I took, I think Daniley has some professional photos from her grandparents' cameras though! :)

Daniley was sweet enough to bring her car for the kiddos to take turns "driving". As you can see little miss Sarah Katherine was loving it! (I think I see a little car in her future!!!)

Daniely is an awesome walker, so she was the motor and Sarah Katherine was the steering wheel. I think they went back and forth like this about a dozen times. ;)

I tried to get Sarah Katherine to enjoy the fun that is the slide, but she was less than impressed right now. She doesn't like having "help", so maybe when she's bigger and can go by herself it will be more fun.

Cashing in on David's Good Luck

Well, one more example of David's golden luck struck this week - and I got to reap the benefits. :) I had to go to Florida for a meeting with a vendor on the project I am working on. To make my hotel reservations, I used David's rewards number. Well apparently this hotel has a daily "Silver VIP Guest of the Day", and guess who it was the day I checked in?! There was a sign posted and everything (see pic below). So, I got a free breakfast, free waters, and a free upgrade to a suite. I was totally important! :)

Other than the surprise VIP status, the trip was pretty normal - meetings, dinner, more meetings, go home. We were in Orlando and didn't even have time to glance at Mickey - oh well, it will have to wait for our trip in March. David and Sarah Katherine held down the fort at home without anyone getting sick or having any major issues. (Not due to lack of me telling SK to get at least a little sick while I was gone to repay David for his two-for-two record of leaving me with a puny girl. Oh well, I guess it's still his good luck in action!)

Play Date

Saturday one of our good buddies came over for a play date so that her mom and dad could have a night out. You may remember Daniley's house is where Sarah Katherine went for her first spend the night party. Well, we got to party down at our house Saturday. :)

Right off the bat the girls started playing together. The books say that at this age the kiddos don't typically interact with one another, but these are GENIOUS children and so they played toys together...
Daniley can trot around everywhere, so Sarah Katherine tried to show off and stood up as much as she could while Daniely was watching.

Of course, if you are a girl and come to my house you get accessorized! The gals have on some fun jewlery and look just FABULOUS!!!
After all that playing it was time for dinner. I wanted to get into some more fun, but the girls were both tuckered out - so bed time called. Maybe next time we can actually get out and about some before the sleepy fairy hits. :)

11 Months, you know what's just around the corner...

Well, missy prissy is now 11 months old and is definitely showing out her little personality all the time! She is a total ham when she has an audience (can we say just like David!). She also is still LOVING animals (especially her doggies - Shelby and Juli). One of her most favorite games is to chase after Shelby all over the house! Sarah Katherine can crawl like lightning, and is starting to get brave and let go when she's standing up. She has a little push walker that plays music, and she is cruising all over the place with that thing - she has even learned how to steer another direction when she crashes into something. I'm thinking our days are numbered before we have a honest to goodness toddler on our hands. Also, this month has brought three teeth poking their way through, which will bring the grand total to 9. This has made for some fussiness, but all in all not too bad.

This weekend marked a big day - we are now members of the Birmingham Zoo! I know, maybe not a date to mark on the calendars for everyone, but for me it's pretty exciting. Now when we are sitting at home on a beautiful Saturday - we have the perfect place to go, and we won't have to pay admission! Below is a picture of SK in the butterfly hut. (You may not be able to tell, but she wore her shirt with a giraffe in honor of the zoo - who would be that coordinated?!)

The pictures below are for Aunt Rachael - from head to toe Sarah Katherine has goodies from the Sutton gals! Thanks so much for letting us in on the fun stuff. I have been waiting for her to FINALLY be able to wear those shoes since I got them from you when she was 3 months old - yeah, the day is finally here!!!
