Seriously?! - You are THREE

So I think the picture pretty much speaks for itself - my crazy daughter has started smooching on boys. I got this texted to me from SK's afternoon teacher during a very serious meeting last week. How do you answer a question about cash flows and compliance with environmental rules when you see a picture of your three year old daughter kissing a boy?! On one hand I am not excited about the conversation we had to have (we don't kiss boys, only hugs) and on the other hand I'm glad if she's going to be smooching someone at least it's a super cute little fella! Her poor daddy did not take this well, but I think he'll recover. The funniest part is when we asked her why did you kiss him, Sarah Katherine said "because I wanted to"! Yes world, we are in for it in a few years!!!

Beauty and the Beast - 3D!

A few weekends ago we loaded up and went to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D on the "big TV". SK was SO excited to see Belle! As you can tell, our little princess got fully into the experience and dressed up complete with crown and sceptor. This is one of her very favorite movies, so it was such a blast just watching her watch the movie. I'm loving Disney re-releasing all these things on 3D because mom gets to relive some of her fave's too!

21 Weeks and Kicking!

I am officially past the half way mark with this little one and all is going well. We had a bit of a scare yesterday that sent us to the doctor. Thankfully all is good and we got to see our baby girl squirm and kick and get some great pictures. I am so thankful for my wonderful doctor's office. Everyone there is so great - they were there when I found out about Elizabeth Anne, so they know our "circumstances". It's like there were no other patients there yesterday and they got me in and looking at my sweet baby girl in no time.

It looks like miss Charlotte Anne is going to be a lot like her big sister. She was sucking her left thumb and her right hand was palm up on her forehead like any good drama queen! I can't wait to meet her!!!!

Baby GIRL Coram #3!!!

We found out right before Christmas that the little one squirming around inside of me is another little lady! We are very excited to get her here and squeeze on her. As our usual routine, we didn't pick out names until after we know the sex. Then we boarded ourselves up and brainstormed names until we came up with THE name. I was worried about if this one was a girl what we would name her - we stick with family names and the available list was getting slimmer. Thankfully it didn't take long to agree upon:

Charlotte Anne Coram

Charlotte is in honor of David's grandfather (Charles) that was really how we met. He lived in Dothan and went to our church. When David was in school at a nearby college he would come up on the weekends and stay with his granddaddy and that was how we got to see each other. Since we knew we wanted to name one of our kids after him, this may be our last kiddo, and we are apparently prone to girls anyway, we decided this was perfect!

Anne is two-fold special. First, my grandmother (Gram, see post below) is named Anne. She is a wonderful, strong woman who loves the Lord. Also, our little girl that is in heaven is named Elizabeth Anne. This will be a small way to commemorate her and to tell her little sister that she has a big sister watching over her.

So the countdown is on, only about 4 more months until we can meet Charlotte Anne! Please keep all of us in your prayers as we get closer and closer to that point.

Visiting Gram

The Tuesday after Christmas Sarah Katherine and I were home and David had to work, so we took the day off opportunity to go see my grandmother over in Anniston. I love any chance we get to go see her, especially to see my little girl and her together and just the heritage that represents. Gram is great about getting her presents in the mail before Christmas, but SK and aren't quite as punctual so we used this as a dual purpose visit and present delivery. Below are some pic's of Sarah Katherine with Gram as well as with my Aunt Kathy. We had a lunch of champions - McDonald's and then headed home so cranky pants could nap.

Christmas 2011

I think we may have peaked in the "how fun can Christmas be" category! SK finally loved Santa, she just simply asked for pink presents, and she was super excited and THANFUL for everything she got. It doesn't get much better than that for a momma. :) At least about the time Sarah Katherine gets picky about her presents our new little one will be at the thankful precious point!

This Christmas we stuck with our tradition - Christmas Eve service at church, then back home for soup and baking Santa some cookies, read the Christmas story, and open presents from each other. Christmas morning David and I got up early so we could be ready by the time SK got up, then we did Santa and played for a bit before getting on the road for Tennessee (David's Family). We were able to spend a few days up there and SK had an absolute blast playing with her cousin's. She threw a fit every time she had to go to sleep b/c she wanted "my girls"!

We are so very blessed and thankful!

SK is less than thrilled with the reading of the Christmas story, but bless her she stayed still and listened!

She even squealed when she got a book - I love this kid!

SK is like a little momma, she feeds, clothes, and puts to bed any and all stuffed animals. Well, she got a baby alive that will talk to you after she gets a bottle and just look at how precious she is taking care of her baby!

The only thing SK consistently asked Santa to bring her was a pink purse with pink socks in it (random request I know). Well, since she was such a wonderful kiddo this year her wish came true! Note the pink purse is even a SPARKLY pink purse. :)

Her "big" gift from Santa this year is a perfectly-sized bike for a little lady. Of course pink with matching helmet.
