Peanut Festival 2010

I am going to make my daughter an honorary Dothanite! We loaded up and went down to the national Peanut Festival for the second year in row. The goofy rides, peanut dust, and corn dogs called to me! Sarah Katherine had a BLAST this year riding rides, eating junk, and meeting lots of people at the fair. Next year I'm thinking I'll have to spring for more than just 4 rides, but I enjoyed the fair for under $30 for as long as I could! Mimommy got to go with us and we even able to get us VIP parking tickets - for a pregnant lady toting a 2 year old to the fair, that was better than gold!

Halloween 2010

In honor of Sarah Katherine's favorite character EVER - she got to dress up as Minnie Mouse for Halloween. She was so excited when I finally showed her the outfit. I kept it hidden until the day before Halloween because I knew my dress up loving daughter wouldn't want to take it off as soon as she saw it! My parents got to come into town for the weekend and have fun with us through all the festivities. Saturday night we went over to Danica's mom's house - always a Halloween treat!, then Sunday we went to our church's fall festival. Little Minnie had a great time and has TONS of candy to show for it.

Hanging with Cousin Luke

David's sister, Nicole, and her husband, Devon, recently got orders from the army to Germany for 3 years. On their way to catch the flight across the pond they stopped by for a few days to visit. They are super excited about the prospect of European living, and from what I have heard from them it sounds like they are having a great time! While they were in town, Sarah Katherine and Luke got to hang out and Luke showed her how a pro jumps on the bed!

Pumpkin Patch

We went with some friends to the pumpkin patch the last weekend before Halloween this year. We went to the same place last year, so we are now older and wiser on all things patch - related! The word is to get there as soon as they open, go DIRECTLY to the hay ride to the pumpkin patch, and save your fried pies to the very end. So, we went in with a game plan and were able to totally maximize our patch experience. :)
